Over the course of a year, in all seasons, I visited the old gold mine town of Atlanta, at the end of the road, high up in the Idaho mountains near the Sawtooth Wilderness. Here I focused on the town, its small population of nineteen residents, the surrounding wilderness and old remaining gold mines.
